Chris tries to incorporate philanthropy into all aspects of his businesses. Some of these aspects include, but are not limited to:

• Designing free websites through Streamlined Fusion
• Giving cash donations to worthy nonprofits through The Kerstner Foundation
• Giving free website hosting to nonprofits through Hosted Fusion
• Even providing free phone service to nonprofits through Vocalize Networks

He models the corporate culture of his companies after the 1/1/1 philosophy; each company annually gives 1% of its revenue, 1% of its dividends and 1% of each employee’s time.

More recently Chris founded The Kerstner Foundation to centrally manage charitable practices of his various companies. The Kerstner Foundation gives away roughly $200,000 a year to help start or grow companies that adhere to values they believe in. Think you qualify? Apply Here.

About The Kerstner Foundation

The Kerstner Foundation was formed in early 2006 when successful young entrepreneur Chris Kerstner had an epiphany. Why did the nonprofits that often needed a great website and or great marketing – always get the short end of the stick? Chris realized this was because complex high quality interactive websites can often cost hundreds of thousands of dollars to build; and it would be unethical for these nonprofits to spend that type of money on marketing and website rebuilds when it met capital was being redirected from saving lives to writing computer code…
